During the winter - when the Sun is low for me - the roof of my home obstructs the Sun so I cannot image the Sun from my observatory.
So I decided to make this Piggy Back Platform on my ETX70 for my Coronado PST.
The nice thing is that the ETX70 is rather compact, runs on 9 Volt [supplied by my Einhell EGS 3500 12v DC 18Ah power station ] and does some tracking: ideal for mobile solar imaging.
And as solar imaging does not require long exposure times I assume I will get away with Alt/Az mode.
A first field test showed that my ETX70 had quite erratic tracking, so I need to address this.

I think the following images speak for themselves; in case of any questions/comments just mail me.

I bought all material used in the local DIY-shop.

The heavy plywood base prevents it from toppling over.
The plywood itself is a leftover from a kitchen renovation [worktop].
