Open Clusters are groups of young stars, often hot and bluish, and their individual stars can easily be seen with a small telescope or sometimes with the naked eye.
Globular Clusters contain larger number of stars and are much more compact. They are found outside the galaxy plane and the stars are older.
The Clusters are sorted on their catalog number.

is one of the largest star forming regions known in our local group of galaxies.<br>
About 3 million light-years away, an accurately known distance to NGC 206 and thus M31<br>
is critical to the larger understanding of galaxy formation, galaxy evolution, and ultimately the distance scale of the Universe.<br>
Imaging: William Optics Zenithstar 80 ED II APO at f/6.8 [focal length 545 mm], ATK16IC camera, Astronomik Lum filter.<br>
Exposures: L: 5x600s [1x1], unguided.<br>
